Louisa Clark is the spunky weird woman who winds up on a contracted job to be a care giver for Will Trainor who is an angry young man paralyzed from the neck down and bound to a wheel chair. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t read or seen the movie.
This book leaves you with advice to live your life to the fullest and live it boldly. Never wear a beautiful dress only to cover it up with a scarf. Be confident in yourself. Don’t just settle with what feels safe because you’re scared. We only get one life and we all deserve to be happy and should be free to make our own choices.
Ok so I saw this movie before I read the book. I loved the movie so much. So I immediately went out and bought the book. Reading this book gave me so much more insight into each of the characters. So Read this book and/or watch the movie. It was an absolutely beautiful story.
After Reading Colleen’s November 9, I immediately drove to Barnes and Noble and picked up a few more of her books. She is an amazing writer. Colleen lets you think that you are aware of whats going on, and what is to come. Then she rips the rug right out from under you. Then she gives your false sense of security that everything is ok. Yeah okay everything is going well ,but wait…. There is still over 100 pages left to go…. well thats never a good sign. Hopeless was yet another roller coaster of emotions that will leave you feeling raw. I can honestly say this book rocked me to my core. Again I feel that If I give you too much I will ruin the experience that comes from reading one of her books. I will say that we follow Sky a girl in high school who meets a very dark and dangerous looking Holder. He is the heart throb of this story and oh my…. Listen to me, Just read this book. TRUST ME…. It will hurt you so good.
This book was recommended to me by a stranger I met at book convention in Austin, TX. I bought it and when I got home I opened it not knowing anything about Colleen Hoover or even an inkling about what this book was going to be about. I mean obviously the date November 9 seemed to be important. Let me just say, I was completely blown away. Colleen Hoover took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that left me breathless. I honestly think that you SHOULD go into this book blind. It makes the experience that much more intense. But to give you a small did bit of information if you must have something. These two young people will meet every year on November 9th. That is all you need to know at this point. Do yourself a favor and read this book! You will NOT regret it.
